History
Located in Gómez Palacio (Durango, Mexico), Aceros Laguna
for more than fifty years has been associate with the quality, progress and innovation in the metal-mechanical
industry (mainly in agriculture) and from its foundation it remains loyal to its goal: to offer quality products
and services.
Created in 1954 by Austreberto Pérez Maldonado Romo, who began managing his small familiar business in Torreón (Coahuila) which was called Fragua Zerep and dedicated to the manufacture of tillage tools and parts, as well as to offer benefits and services in the branch.
Through 30 years Austreberto had the dream of transform a modest factory into a national industry and accomplished his goal
one step at a time. By the twelfth foundation anniversary his sons joined to the staff and the factory began to grow, so
they had the necessity to change the trade name to Industria Agrícola Laguna, S. of R.L. By 1981 they move the factory
facilities to the industrial zone of Gómez Palacio, Dgo. and form the joint-stock company
In 1991, thanks to the growth in sales and national recognition of our products, we change our address to our present location.
In 2000, once again the company changes its social security name for Industrias Zerep S.A. de C.V., which was the first name used by the company founder. Besides, the brand Aceros Laguna is registered with SECOFI to identify our products
Every year, during the second week of november, Industrias Zerep participates in the Expo Agroalimentaria Guanajuato (held at Irapuato), where we present to the farmers of all the country our ample range of products.
